Typical Italian chopped salad recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Chopped Salad

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
4 large plum tomatoes, seeded, finely chopped
1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
4 ounces dry salami, finely chopped
1 cup chickpeas, drained canned
4 1/2 ounces mozzarella, diced
1 cup black olives, finely chopped
3/4 cup olive oil
2 tbs. red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tbs. fresh basil
1 tbs. Dijon mustard
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 pinch of sugar

Recipe Directions for Italian Chopped Salad

Combine first 8 ingredients in large bowl. Blend oil with next 5 ingredients in small bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Pour over salad and toss thoroughly.
