Italian twist on classic hamburger

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Burger Melts

1 pound ground beef
10 3/4 ounces Tomato Condensed Soup
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
4 slices Kraft 2% deli American cheese
4 whole wheat hamburger buns

Recipe Directions for Italian Burger Melts

  1. Form ground beef into 4 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. Preheat skillet over medium-high heat. Place patties into hot skillet.

  3. Cook until just browned on both sides; remove from pan.

  4. If needed, wipe grease out of pan. Add tomato soup and herbs. Heat until lightly boiling.

  5. Return patties to mixture. Heat covered on low 15-20 minutes or until cooked through. Just before serving, place a slice of cheese on each pattie.

  6. Serve on hamburger buns.
