A dry mix to keep blended for instant burgers

Recipe Ingredients for Instant Burger

1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup ground flaxseed
4 cups lentils (dry, ground in a blender)
8 cups Whole Oat Groats
1/2 cup cornstarch
4 T oregano
2 T salt
2 T garlic powder
2 T onion powder
1/2 cup nutritional yeast (optional)
14 cups water

Recipe Directions for Instant Burger

  1. All ingredients should be chopped fine. Mix and store in freezer until needed or make a large batch into patties and freeze patties.

  2. To make patties:

  3. Boil water.

  4. Pour over dry mix and stir in.

  5. Allow to set for 10 minutes.

  6. Form into patties, using about 1/3 cup mix for each.

  7. Bake, grill, or fry as desired. Alternatively, you can dehydrate to desired texture.

  8. **Add other flavors or seasoning when rehydrating to customize flavor. For example, add diced vegetables for a garden burger; add jalapeno, cumin, and cilantro for a Mexican burger.
