"An interesting twist on an age old favorite. Use your favorite shaped pasta - bow ties, shells, penne, etc...Can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated, but allow extra time for baking."

Recipe Ingredients for Inside-Out Ravioli

16 ounces Low-Carb Pasta
10 ounce frozen chopped spinach
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 (50.0g) eggs, beaten
32 ounce tub ricotta cheese
2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 lb lean ground beef
1 (160.0g) large onion, chopped
4 (18.0g) cloves garlic, minced
15 ounce tomato sauce
6 ounce tomato paste
3 cups Marinara Sauce

Recipe Directions for Inside-Out Ravioli

  1. In a medium pot cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain well.

  2. Blend Spinach into tomato sauce.

  3. Meanwhile, brown ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in tomato sauce & spinach mix, tomato paste, and pasta sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. Combine beaten eggs, olive oil, bread crumbs, and shredded cheese, with cooked pasta.

  5. Spread pasta mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with meat mixture, then with some extra Mozzarella and Parm.

  6. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven (175 degree C) for 30 minutes.
