From the Uncle Ben's Converted Rice box. Prep time 25 minutes

Recipe Ingredients for Indonesian Shrimp and Rice

1 cup converted rice
2 c chicken broth
1 T peanut oil
1 T soy sauce
1/4 t garlic powder
1 green onion, chopped
1/2 lb medium shrimp, shelled and cleaned
1/4 c cashews

Recipe Directions for Indonesian Shrimp and Rice

  1. Prepare rice according to package directions, substituting chicken broth for water.

  2. While the rice is cooking, mix the peanut oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, and green onion together. Marinate the shrimp in miture 15 minutes in the refrigerator.

  3. Heat peanut oil in a skillet and sauté the shrimp with marinade until shrimp is cooked.

  4. Serve shrimp over cooked rice and garnish with green onions and cashews.
