This is an authentic recipe. Serve with basmati rice, cucumber salad, grilled veggies, roasted corn on the cob.

Recipe Ingredients for Indian Tandoori Chicken

16 oz. chicken breasts, skinless, bone in
1 tsp. salt
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3/4 cup yogurt, low fat
1/2 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. ginger root, grated
2 tsp. garam masala
1 tsp. cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Indian Tandoori Chicken

  1. Cut slits in the breasts, lengthwise. Place in shallow dish, sprinkle both sides of chicken with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Set aside 20 minutes.

  2. Combine yogurt, onion, garlic, ginger, garam masala and cayenne peper. Mix until smooth. Spread over chicken, cover, refrigerate for 6 to 24 hours.

  3. Preheat outdoor grill, lightly oil grate.

  4. Cook Chicken until no longer pink and juices run clear. Garnish with cilantro and lemon wedges.
