Hot & Spicy. This curry is not a creamy sweet type more typical of Thai curries, or vindaloos, or masalas, etc. It is fresh, potent, and hearty.

Recipe Ingredients for Indian-Style Red Beef Curry

2 1/2 lbs steak
3 onions
2 red bell pepper
4 tbs garlic
6 tbs olive oil
4 tbs garam masala
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp cloves
4 tbs Red Curry Paste

Recipe Directions for Indian-Style Red Beef Curry

  1. In a large pan sautee chopped onions, pepper, ground ginger, tangerine zest, and garlic in about 3TBS olive oil. Cook till onions are transluscent. Remove from heat, cool, then puree with hand mixer.

  2. Pour puree back in pan with the remaining olive oil, cook for about 5 minutes. While that is cooking puree a can of stewed tomatoes. Pour puree into onion mixture. Add 2TBS tomoato paste and the curry paste. Cook for about 10min.

  3. Pour mixture over the cubed beef in a pirex dish. Cover and bake for at least an hour. When ready, take out of oven, add spices, stir, and bake for another 10-20-min.

  4. Serve over Basmatti rice. NOTE: I think you could CUT THE OLIVE OIL IN HALF; Im not sure why the puree needs oil in the pan while it cooks.
