Recipe Ingredients for Indian-spiced Chicken Pitas

1 pound chicken breast
1 1/2 tspn garam masala
3/4 tspn kosher salt
1 cup cucumber
3/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro or mint
2 tspn lemon juice
4 whole wheat pitas
1 cup romaine lettuce
2 small tomatoes
1/4 cup red onion

Recipe Directions for Indian-spiced Chicken Pitas

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high or broil.

  2. Sprinkle chicken with 1tspn garam masala and 1/2 tspn salt

  3. Place chicken on grill, cook 4-8 min. per side.

  4. Combine cucumber, yogurt, cilanto (or mint), lemon juice, 1/2 tspn garam masala and 1/4 tspn salt in small bowl.

  5. Thinly slice chicken, fill pitas.
