Recipe Ingredients for Indian Cabbage Soup

1 liter vegetable broth
540 ml canned tomatoes
75 ml tomato paste
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 cup white onion (chopped)
2 cups cabbage (chopped)
1 carrot (chopped)
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups cauliflower (chopped)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Recipe Directions for Indian Cabbage Soup

  1. Heat olive oil in large pot

  2. Add garlic, onion, garam masala

  3. Add cabbage and cauliflower, carrot, cook 5 minutes

  4. Add cayenne, pepper

  5. Add tomato paste, mix well, cook 5 minutes

  6. Add canned tomatoes, cook 5 minutes, stirring regularly

  7. Add vegetable broth

  8. Bring to a boil, lower heat to a simmer, cover, cook 15-20 minutes
