Recipe Ingredients for Improvised Skillet Tangine

4 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain, Cooked
2 pear, medium (approx 2-1/2 per lb) Pears
2.5 medium Onions
1 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Broccoli
2 tbsp Cinnamon, Ground
1 tsp Cumin Seed
1 tsp Coriander Seed
1 tsp Ginger, Ground
1 tbsp Butter
2 tsp Sea Salt
3 serving (Castlewood) Hickory Smoked Boneless Sliced Ham

Recipe Directions for Improvised Skillet Tangine

Put rice in rice cooker with salt, butter, and 1Tbsp cinnamon. Cook rice according to directions. Cut broccoli into small pieces and steam. On stove, use cooking spray to coat the bottom of the pan. Chop onions and put in pan on low-med heat. Slice the ham and add, making sure to get a nice curl on the ham. Once the onions have carmelized and the ham looks curled, cut up the pears. Add them to the mix and cover, stirring occassionally. Take 2 Tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp cumin seed, 1 tsp coriander seed and 1 tsp ginger and grind in spice grinder until fine. Add spices to the dish along with salt to taste and pepper. Let simmer on low heat until pears are soft, but not squishy. When rice is done, add rice and broccoli to the skillet. Serve.
