Recipe Ingredients for Improved Martha Stewart's Banana Bread

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
4 egg whites
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup ripe bananas
1/2 cup fat free sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup walnuts

Recipe Directions for Improved Martha Stewart's Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degs. Spray 9x5 pan. Mix applesauce and egg whites.

  2. In med. bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt. Add to applesauce/egg white mixture till just combined. Add bananas, sour cream, & vanilla; mix to combine. Stir in nuts & pour into pan.

  3. Bake about 1 hr. 10 mins. Test with tooth pick till comes out clean. Let rest in pan 10 mins., then remove by turning upside down.
