Recipe Ingredients for Hungarian Mushroom Soup

4 T unsalted butter
2 c onion, chopped
1 lb mushrooms, sliced
2 t dill weed
1 T paprika
1 T soy sauce
2 c chicken broth
1 c skim milk
3 T flour
1 t salt
2 t lemon juice
1/4 c parsley, fresh
1/2 c sour cream

Recipe Directions for Hungarian Mushroom Soup

  1. Melt butter, and saute the onions for 5 minutes.

  2. Add mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes more.

  3. Stir in dill, paprika, soy sauce, and broth. Simmer for 15 minutes. *Do not boil.*

  4. Separately, whisk together milk and flour. Pour into soup, cover and simmer another 15 minutes. *Do not boil.*

  5. Stir in salt, pepper, lemon juice, parsley and sour cream. Once the sour cream is completely blended in, serve immediately.
