Recipe Ingredients for Hungarian Beef Porkolt

3 oz beef
1 tsp paprika
1/10 tsp salt
1/4 onion

Recipe Directions for Hungarian Beef Porkolt

  1. Sautee diced onion in oil.

  2. Add paprika and salt.

  3. Add beef and brown.

  4. Add 0.5 - 1 cup water (or beef broth - in which case don't add salt!)

  5. Reduce heat and simmer on low temperature until beef is quite tender. Best if transferred to slow cooker: cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.

  6. Serve over nokedli (nudel), other broad noodles, or rice.
