Hummus Recipe

This is a delicious dip for vegetables or bits of pita bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Hummus

3 cloves Garlic
15.5 oz Chick Peas
4 oz Natural Tahini - with Salt (Raw)
2 tbsp Lemon Juice, Canned Or Bottled
0.25 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne

Recipe Directions for Hummus

  1. Using a blender at medium speed add peeled garlic cloves, one at a time.

  2. When garlic cloves are minced, turn off blender and add can of chickpeas, drained (reserve liquid), lemon & tahini and blend until smooth, adding a little of the reserved liquid if needed to make a smooth paste.

  3. Spoon into a bowl, flatten and dribble olive oil over top. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper.
