Recipe Ingredients for Hummus

3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup sesame seed paste
1/4 cup hot water
3 tablespoons olive oil, extra light
6 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cups chickpeas (19 oz can)
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne

Recipe Directions for Hummus

  1. Using food processor or blender, blend garlic, sesame paste, water, olive oil and lemon juice.

  2. Blend until smooth, adding hot water if mixture appears to curdle.

  3. Add chickpeas and seasonings, processing until smooth.

  4. If needed, add salt and pepper to taste.
