Makes 8 servings



Basic recipe for great hummus. Add more garlic for garlic hummus. Add sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, chipotle puree, etc. to get different flavors. Serve with warm pita bread. Serving size = 2 tbsp

Recipe Ingredients for Hummus

15 oz garbanzo beans, drained
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 1/2 tbsp tahini
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Hummus

Place garbanzo beans (chickpeas), garlic, lemon juice and tahini in the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth. With the machine running, slowly add the olive oil until emulsified. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
