Recipe Ingredients for Hummus

3 c garbanzo beans, drained, liquid reserved
2 garlic cloves, chopped
3 T tahini
4 T lemon juice
1/2 tsp cumin
1 pinch salt
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 T olive oil

Recipe Directions for Hummus

  1. Place garbanzo beans & garlic in small food processor. Pulse till coarsley ground.

  2. Add some of reserved liquid (about 1/4 cup to start), along with tahini, lemon juice, salt, pepper and cumin. Continue pulsing till mixture reaches desired consistency.

  3. Add olive oil & stir. Garnish with additional sprinkle of cayenne pepper, cucumber strips or black olives.
