Makes 10 servings



An incredibly good dip for veggies, but be careful to stick to the serving size. As healthy as this is, it's NOT low cal in larger quantities. Decrease the tahini to make it low cal... and not terribly exciting.

Recipe Ingredients for Hummus

5 cloves garlic
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup water
4 cups chickpeas, cooked or canned
1/4 cup tahini
1 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Hummus

  1. Blend everything until smooth.

  2. Serve with raw veggies & pita bread.

  3. Keeps in the fridge one week, but may be frozen.

  4. Use a half-serving as a base for salad dressing. Thin with more lemon juice & water.
