yields 3 cups total, or 12 1/4 cup/4 T servings

Recipe Ingredients for hummus

3 clove garlic
30 oz chick peas
3 T lemon juice
4 T tahini
2 T olive oil
1/2 t salt

Recipe Directions for hummus

  1. blend garlic in food processor.

  2. add one can of chick peas with half its canned liquid and second can of chick peas, drained. process until smooth.

  3. add lemon juice, tahini and salt, then add olive oil while blade is running.

  4. add up to another 1/2 of the canned chick pea liquid until desired consistency.

  5. feel free to adjust lemon juice and garlic to taste.
