A great middle eastern appetizer that is good on veggies or with bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Hummus

1/2 cup garbanzo beans
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp tahini
1/2 tsp cumin

Recipe Directions for Hummus

  1. Cook garbonzos according to directions on package.

  2. Mix garbbanzos and garlic in a food processor until well blended. Add lemon juice, olive oil, tahini, and cumin. Salt to tast.

  3. Mix until well blended. Place mixture in a container. Pat down with hand and spread a light layer of olive oil on top until reaching the sides of the container. The olive oil will seal the flavor and odor. Cover and refridgerate.
