To lower calories more you can eliminate Olive oil and substitute with chickpea juice.

Recipe Ingredients for Hummus

15 oz Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans, Bengal Gram), Mature Seeds, Canned
2 tbsp Lemon Juice, Canned Or Bottled
2 tbsp Sesame Butter, Tahini, From Roasted And Toasted Kernels (Most Common Type)
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
1 tbsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Hummus

  1. Drain the chick-peas reserving 1 TBSP of the liquid. Rinse and drain the chick-peas.

  2. In a blender or food processor blend the reserve liquid, chick-peas, olive oil, lemon juice, thini and garlic unitl smooth and creamy.
