Hummus with cilantro, garlic and jalepeno. Made creamy by the long process time. Citric acid (also known as sour salt) adds a nice tang. Citric acid is high in vitamin c.

Recipe Ingredients for Hummus with Garlic, Cilantro and Jalepeno (very creamy)

15 1/2 oz Garbanzo Beans (Chick Peas), Organic
3 tbsp Olive Oil
3 tbsp Sesame Butter, Tahini, From Roasted And Toasted Kernels (Most Common Type)
4 clove Garlic
1/4 cup Cilantro Leaves
1 pepper Peppers, Jalapeno
1/2 oz Taboule
1/4 tsp Salt, Table
1/4 tsp Citric Acid
1/4 tsp Pepper, White

Recipe Directions for Hummus with Garlic, Cilantro and Jalepeno (very creamy)

  1. Drain canned garbonzo beans and reserve 1/2 C of liquid from the can, dispose of the rest.

  2. Add garbonzo beans and 1/2 cup of reserved liquid to food processor.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients except jalepeno and cilantro and taboule.

  4. Process for 10 minutes.

  5. Stop and add Jalepeno and cilantro pulse for 30 seconds or until jalepeno and cilantro is processed as much as you like.

  6. Put in a serving container that you can put a lid on or cover. Put some taboule and some diced garlic and cilantro on top of the hummus for garnish. Cover and refridgerate till cool. (hummus will be warm from the long process time.)
