Recipe Ingredients for HT Buttermilk Flax Waffles

1 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
0.5 Cup Spelt Flour
2 tbsp Flaxseed Meal
2 large Egg, Whole
1 cup Milk, Buttermilk, Fluid, Cultured, Lowfat
3 Teaspoon Baking Powder
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
4 tbsp Coconut Oil, Unrefined, Organic

Recipe Directions for HT Buttermilk Flax Waffles

Whisk dry ingredients. Melt coconut butter in a small dish and set aside. Combine all other wet ingredients, separating the whites to be whipped in their own bowl. Pour wet batter into the dry ingredient bowl and mix until just combined. Pour in the coconut oil and mix in. Add the egg whites and fold in until just combined. Pour batter onto a hot waffle iron and cook until crisp and golden brown. Serve immediately.
