I haven't actually made this but eat it at the restaurant and wanted an approximate count for my log so went and found the recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Houston's Veggie Burger (patti only)

4 tbsp (hickory) barbecue sauce
1 tbsp molasses
1 1/2 cups black beans
3 cups cooked brown rice
4 tablespoons onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons honey
1 3/4 cups Beets
1 serving Hoisin Sauce
6 Figs (dried, prunes, figs, etc)
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon kosher salt
6 tablespoon pickled jalapeno pepper, chopped
2 teaspoons olive oil
8 slices Monterey jack cheese

Recipe Directions for Houston's Veggie Burger (patti only)

  1. Stir together barbecue sauce, honey and molasses. Set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, mash beans. Stir in 3 tablespoons of the barbecue mixture (reserving remaining for brushing) and remaining ingredients minus half the jalapenos (garnish later). Form into six patties.

  3. Heat olive oil in a cast iron or non-stick skillet over medium. Grill burgers for 2 minutes on one side. Turn and brush with remaining barbecue/molasses mixture.

  4. Top with Monterey Jack and grill for another 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

  5. Serve with jalapenos, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions and mustard on a bun which has been grilled in butter. Cheese incl in cals but bun/bread is not.
