Easy, tasty and zesty stew with fish and Bacon.

Recipe Ingredients for Hot and Spice Fish-stew

600 grams Pollock, Atlantic
150 grams Pork, Cured, Bacon
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
2 clove Garlic
0.5 pepper Peppers, Hot Chili, Green
4 small (1-3/4" to 2-1/2" dia.) Potatoes, Boiled
200 grams Sweetcorn
300 mL Lettmelk (Tine)
400 grams Soup, Stock, Fish, Home-prepared
1 tbsp Parsley

Recipe Directions for Hot and Spice Fish-stew

  1. Cube and fry the bacon in a saucepan.

  2. Finely chop onion and add to the bacon with 1 tbs of butter. Sauté until soft.

  3. Finely chop chilli, slice potatoes and add to the saucepan with the sweetcorn. Allow to simmer for a few minutes.

  4. Add milk and fish-stock and boil until the potatoes are soft.

  5. Remove the skin from the fish, bone it and slice in pieces of 3-4 cm. Add to the saucepan and add salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve with parsley.
