Recipe Ingredients for Hot and Sour Shrimp Soup

1/2 lb medium shrimp (shell and devein)
2 cup Chicken broth
2 cup water
1/2 cup Lemon grass - 3 stalks
225 grams Straw mushrooms - 1 can
1 tbsp Fish sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup Lime juice
2 Green onions (finely chopped)
2 tbsp Cilantro (chopped)
4 Red chili pepper (seeded and chopped)
1 Salt and pepper - add to taste

Recipe Directions for Hot and Sour Shrimp Soup

  1. Add the lemon grass, fish sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, red chilies, salt, and pepper to the soup stock. Bring to a boil.

  2. Let it boil for 3 to 5 minutes. Then remove the lemon grass.

  3. Add in the prawns and straw mushrooms. Cook until the shrimps are pink.

  4. Garnish with cilantro.
