Wonderfully tasty chicken salad to eat on a bed of lettuce.

Recipe Ingredients for Hot Chicken Salad

2 cups chicken, cut up
2 cups celery, sliced thinly
1/2 cup chopped toasted almonds or peanuts
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp grated onion
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup grated cheese
4 ounces potato chips, crushed

Recipe Directions for Hot Chicken Salad

  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees.

  2. Combine all ingredients except for the cheese and chips.

  3. Put chicken mixture in a casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese and chips.

  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes.

  5. Other options: Use turkey or crab meat instead of chicken. Add baked chips and cheese after cooking, if preferred.
