Wheat bread sweetened with honey and molasses, with a little instant coffee to add character to the flavor

Recipe Ingredients for Honey Wheat

12 ounces of water
275 grams flour
130 grams whole grain flour
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbs honey
1 tsp instant coffee
2 1/2 tsp yeast

Recipe Directions for Honey Wheat

  1. For bread machines, add water first, then sugar, molasses, honey. Dry ingredients on top, followed by yeast. Set to 2lb white loaf & desired crust, and start machine.

  2. For hand-made, mix dry ingredients together, followed by all wet ingredients. Mix into dough, kneed for 10 minutes at least. Let rise 1 hour, kneed 1 minute, let rise 1 hour again. Shape to desire loaf design, bake on 425 degrees for 30-40 minutes depending on exact loaf shape.
