Use either chicken wings or chicken legs, as they make good finger food and this is sweet, sticky, yummy finger food. (I have included only one chicken leg per servng, to keep the calorie count down ;-) .

Recipe Ingredients for Honey Soy Chicken

1 kg chicken legs
1/2 cup green onion, chopped
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup honey
2 tbsp mirin (japanese rice wine)
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
1 tbsp grated fresh garlic
1 tbsp grapeseed oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Recipe Directions for Honey Soy Chicken

  1. Combine all ingredients except sesame seeds, and coat the chicken in this mixture. Marinade all in fridge and after an hour or so, turn and marinade again for another hour or so.

  2. Place chicken into a lightly oiled roasting pan, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and roast until tender.

  3. Serve with steamed or sauted vegetables (such as broccoli and carrots), and brown or white rice.

  4. (If you have a BBQ that would be a better method of cooking).
