Chick peas that have been roasted in a honey - chili mixture

Recipe Ingredients for Honey Roasted Chick Peas

30 oz Chick Peas
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon olive oil

Recipe Directions for Honey Roasted Chick Peas

  1. You can adjust the heat on this by adding more chili powder. I wouldn't go much lower than the 1/4 teaspoon though. Also, I did not add any salt to this originally but after tasting, it does need some so I added 1/4 teaspoon at the end. Makes it look pretty w/ the white salt "specks" on the nice dark brown chick peas.

  2. Drain and thoroughly rinse the peas. Mix all the seasonings together. Then combine w/ the peas. Spread into a single layer and bake at 450 for approx 20 minutes until they are a nice dark color.
