Recipe Ingredients for Honey quinoa bread

1 cup raw quinoa
1/4 cup oatmeal
3/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 cups bread flour
2 cups water
1/4 cup water
2 tsp yeast
1/3 cup honey
3 tbsp powdered milk
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup 1% milk

Recipe Directions for Honey quinoa bread

  1. rinse quinoa well

  2. cook quinoa in 2 cups of warm water 10 -15 mins or until water is absorbed.cool to room temperature

  3. cook oatmeal in water until liquid is absorbed

  4. place 3/4 warm water in large bowl and sprinkle

  5. yeast over water.let rest 5 mins

  6. stir honey powdered milk with wooden spoon into yeast mixture or with dough hook on low speed if using electric mixer.

  7. Add 1 cup bread flour and salt .stir well

  8. add cooked quinoa and oatmeal and stir

  9. add the whole wheat flour and one more cup of the bread flour and stir.

  10. When dough starts to get stiff turn out on floured surface.If using stand mixer continue with dough hook

  11. keep kneading and adding flour until dough is smooth and elastic.about 5 mins wth mixer or 10-15 mins by hand.Dough should be slightly sticky but not wet and slacky.You should be able to form into ball and it should hold it should hold it's shape.

  12. cover and let rise 2 hrs

  13. Then punch down and form into balls and let rise

  14. until double in size in baking pans

  15. bake 350 degrees for approx 30 mins
