Recipe Ingredients for Honey Pear Crisp

1/4 cup old fashioned oats, uncooked
1/8 cup all-purpose flour
1/6 cup dark brown sugar
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt
1/6 cup smart balance butter blend stick, softened
2 pears, ripe, peeled, and cored
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp honey

Recipe Directions for Honey Pear Crisp

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Coat a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. In a medium bowl, use a fork to mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well blended. Use your fingers to work in the butter blend until a crumbly mixture forms.

  3. Place the pears in the pie plate, cut side up.

  4. Sprinkle the pears with lemon juice and drizzle with honey.

  5. Crumble the oat topping over the pears.

  6. Bake until pears are softened and topping is crisp and lightly browned, about 25 minutes. Let stand for at least 15 minutes.
