This recipe is from the Company's Coming, "Asian Cooking" cookbook. My friend Agnes made it the one time, and I've been a fan of it ever since!

Recipe Ingredients for Honey Ginger Chicken

2 tbsp Cooking oil
1 large onion (cut into wedges)
2 lbs Chicken thighs (skin removed)
4 Garlic cloves (thinly sliced, or 1 tsp powder)
1 tbsp fresh ginger
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Liquid Honey
1 tbsp Fish Sauce (can be omitted or replaced with soy sauce and still be tasty)
2 tbsp Soy sauce
2 tbsp Oyster sauce
1/8 tsp Pepper

Recipe Directions for Honey Ginger Chicken

  1. Heat woke or frying pan until hot. Add cooking oil. Add onion. Stir-fry for 5 to 7 minutes until onion is soft and golden.

  2. Add chicken. Cook for about 10 minutes until all sides are browned.

  3. Add garlic and ginger. Heat and stir until fragrant.

  4. Combine remaining 6 ingredients in small bowl. Add to chicken mixture. Stir until well coated. Reduce heat to medium. Cook for about 20 minutes until no pink remains in chicken.
