You can marinate the pork in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Recipe Ingredients for Honey Garlic Roast Pork

2 kg boneless pork loin roast
30 g (2 tbs) sodium-reduced soy sauce
2 tbs honey
30 g (2 tbs) sherry
2 tbs ginger root
2 cloves garlic

Recipe Directions for Honey Garlic Roast Pork

  1. Put pork roast in a large plastic bag.

  2. Combine all other ingredients and pour over pork in bag. Seal and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, turning bag occasionally.

  3. Preheat oven to 325. Remove roast from bag. Reserve marinade but leave as much garlic and ginger bits on roast as possible. Set roast on a rack in a roast pan.

  4. Roast, uncovered and basting occasionally with reserved marinade, for 2 hours.

  5. Let stand 15 minutes before carving.
