Recipe Ingredients for Honey bread

152 g. rolled oats
228 g. brown sugar
158 g. honey
20 g. salt
306 g. boiling water
286 g. whole wheat flour
905 g. bread flour
13 g. yeast
282 g. water
5 g. sugar

Recipe Directions for Honey bread

  1. Place oats, brown sugar, honey, salt, and butter in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Let stand 1/2 hour.

  2. Add flour, dissolved yeast, and 1 cup water. Mix to form ball. (Add flour or water to correct texture.)

  3. Let rise until doubled. Punch down; let rise again.

  4. Shape into 4 loaves.

  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes (until it sounds hollow when tapped).
