These are good, filling, low-cal muffins. Taste of Home recipe modified.

Recipe Ingredients for Honey Banana Muffins

3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup mashed banana
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
6 tbsp honey
1/4 cup dried cranberries

Recipe Directions for Honey Banana Muffins

In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Combine the eggs, banana, applesauce and honey; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in the cranberries. Coat muffin tins with cooking spray; fill tins equally with batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
