Recipe Ingredients for Homestyle Paella

16 oz low-sodium diced tomatoes
1 cup dry white wine
1 cup low-sodium vegetable broth
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin, (or tumeric)
1/4 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp saffron threads
12 oz turkey, cooked and diced (any meat, eggplant or tofu)
2 1/2 cup brown rice
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup bell peppers, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz artichokes, rinsed & chopped
6 oz mushrooms, rinsed & sliced
8 oz no-salt-added pinto beans, (or any favorite beans)
1/4 cup parsley

Recipe Directions for Homestyle Paella

  1. One dish meal.

  2. Suggest using any meats, eggplant or tofu. Same for vegetables. Use leftovers and add favorite beans. Remember to rinse to remove excess sodium

  3. Place all liquids in a dutch oven or crock pot. Heat for ten minutes.

  4. Add all other ingredients and cook until vegetables are al dente, rice is firm and all is thoroughly heated. Serve.
