Lowfat, homemade whole wheat tortillas

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade whole wheat tortillas

1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons olive oil

Recipe Directions for Homemade whole wheat tortillas

In a medium bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt. Mix in olive oil and work it into the flour. In a measuring cup pour HOT water. slowly add water to flour untila stiff dough forms. Knead the dough into a smooth ball, and allow to rest 15 minutes. After rest divide dough into fourths and roll out into a circle really thin. Stretch dough to make the tortilla really thin, you should be able to kind of see through the dough. In a hot skillet sprayed lightly with pam cook the dough on each side. Put the tortillas on a plate and cover with moist towel. Microwave if tortillas are stiff/hard.
