Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Vegetable Beef Barley Soup

16 ounces chicken broth
16 ounces beef broth
1/2 pound beef, cubed
16 ounce frozen mixed vegetables
8 ounce cooked plum tomatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper
1 cup barley
1 large potato, cubed

Recipe Directions for Homemade Vegetable Beef Barley Soup

  1. cut beef into small cubes

  2. brown beef

  3. add beef to large pot with chicken and beef broth

  4. add vegetables and season to taste (salt, pepper and any other seasonings you would like!)

  5. once soup comes to boil, add in barley and cook for another 1/2 hour to 45 minutes until barley 'pops'
