Pour half of custard into a 6 quart freezer. Add ice, cover ice with rock salt. Freeze manually or use an electric freezer. Enjoy

1 gallon whole milk
8 eggs
72 oz carnation evaporated milk
2 cups sugar
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons flour

Recipe Directions for Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

  1. Beat eggs until creamy

  2. Add Sugar

  3. Add Flour

  4. Stir until well blended

  5. Add whole milk

  6. Add Carnation Milk

  7. Stir, Making all ingredients are well blended and without lumps

  8. Bring to a good boil, stirring constantly to avoid scorching and sticking

  9. Add vanilla

  10. Let mixture cool (Pour half into gallon sized freezer)
