Better than store bought even though it does have lots of sugar, at least it does not have HFC. One serving is around a tablespoon and since it is fairly thin a little can go a long way.

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Syrup

1 1/2 c water
2 1/2 c sugar
2 tbs molasses
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp maple extract

Recipe Directions for Homemade Syrup

Pour all ingredients into medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to boil stiring until all sugar dissolves. Once boiling turn off heat but leave hot until bubbling stops. Serve warm or store in refridgerator.
