my mom taught me how to make this rice

Recipe Ingredients for homemade spanish rice

1 serving White Long Grain Rice
4 oz. hunts tomato sauce
1/2 large onion
1 tsp salt, pepper, and garlic salt
1 tbsp chicken boullion
4 cups water

Recipe Directions for homemade spanish rice

  1. cut up half a large onion.

  2. pour just enough cooking oil in the pan to cover the bottom thinly.

  3. cook the onion in the oil for 2 minutes.

  4. add 2 cups rice, salt, pepper, and garlic salt.

  5. mix rice with onions and let brown. stiring occasionally.

  6. add 4oz. tomato sauce to pan.

  7. add 4 cups water to pan.

  8. add 1 tbsp chicken bouillon to pan.

  9. cover and let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. until there is no standing water.
