Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Shepherd's Pie

2 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 tbs olive oil
6 yukon gold potatoes
1 large onion
3 cloves garlic
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
6 baby carrots

Recipe Directions for Homemade Shepherd's Pie

  1. Preheat oven 400 degrees

  2. boil water and place potatoes until soft (about 30 min)

  3. Meanwhile, in a saute pan add olive oil and add chopped onion and garlic

  4. Add ground meat and cook through

  5. drain meat and add frozen vegetables

  6. heat for a few minutes until cooked

  7. place mix in oven safe casserole dish

  8. Puree potatoes

  9. scoop potatoes on top

  10. Place in oven until top is brown about 15-20 min
