I tried this for low calorie pasta dish.

Recipe Ingredients for homemade sauce

14 1/2 ozs whole tomatoes
1/4 cup green peppers
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper

Recipe Directions for homemade sauce

  1. Crush tomatoes and start cooking on medium heat.You can also start the water for you pasta.

  2. I added all the rest of the ingredients and let cook to thicken up.

  3. I cooked up 1 cup of macaroni so it makes 2 and 1/2 servings.

  4. I topped with 1 tsp of parmigiana cheese per serving.
