Peanut Butter and Oat Protein Bars

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Protein Bars

2 cups Oatmeal
2 oz. soy protein powder
1 tablespoon milled flaxseed
2/3 cup raisins
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup natural peanut butter

Recipe Directions for Homemade Protein Bars

  1. In a mixing bowl combine oats, protein powder, flaxseed, and raisins. Mix thoroughly

  2. Mix into dry ingredients warm water, and room temperature peanut butter. Mix thoroughly.

  3. Use a baking pan with individual portion sizes - I use a silicon bar pan.

  4. Line each portion with wax paper.

  5. Press mixture into portions in thickness desired for bars.

  6. Wrap portions with wax paper.

  7. Store wrapped bars in a "zipper" type plastic bag in the refrigerator. Since there are not preservatives these must be kept cool in the refrigerator.
