1/8 c hot water 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast 1 1/3 c warm water 1/3 c brown sugar 5 c white flour 2 Tbsp kosher salt

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade pretzels

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1/3 c brown sugar
5 c flour
2 tbsp kosher salt

Recipe Directions for Homemade pretzels

  1. Heat oven 425. Mix hot water with yeast until dissolved. Stir in warm water and brown sugar. Slowly add flour, stirring constantly. Knead on lightly floured surface.

  2. Sprinkle salt on greased pan. Roll dough onto ropes and shape into pretzel.

  3. Fill frying pan with water with 1 tsp baking soda for each cup of water added. Bring to gentle boil and place each pretzel in for 30 seconds.

  4. Sprinkle some salt on then bake for 8 minutes or until golden.
