Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Power Bars 2

5 cups quick oats
5 1/3 T ground flax seed
2 cups nonfat dry milk
182 grams whey protein powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips
17 T light corn syrup (or 24 T Karo 33% less)

Recipe Directions for Homemade Power Bars 2

  1. Spray 12X18 cookie sheet with non-stick spray.

  2. Do 1/2 of the recipe at a time in a food processor.

  3. Starting with the oats, pulse each ingredient finely in food processor before adding the next, stopping when you get done with the chocolate chips.

  4. Begin to process mixture, drizzling a thin stream of corn syrup into top opening. Stop when mixture clumps iun machine. (Too much corn syrup will make them sticky; too little and they'll be crumbly.)

  5. Repeat with second half of ingredients.

  6. Press firmly into cookie sheet and cut into 24 bars.

  7. Wrap bars individually and store in the freezer.
