Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Plain Tortilla's

125 grams Flour
5 grams Salt, Table
75 grams Water

Recipe Directions for Homemade Plain Tortilla's

  1. Mix together the salt, flour and water in a bowl to form a rough dough before turning out and kneeding a little.

  2. Leave the dough to rest, it relaxes the gluten, for 30 minutes.

  3. Cut the dough into four portions and roll into balls before rolling out with a rolling pin to about 2mm thick.

  4. Heat a large pan over a medium heat and place one tortilla at a time into the pan until brown patches form, flip over and cook for 30 seconds.

  5. Place the cooked tortilla in a clean tea towel and repeat for the other 3. If you're not going to use them straight away, wrap in tin foil until you do need them.
