Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Pizza


dough:
1 T. yeast (1 pkg)
2 t. sugar
1 c. warm water
1 t. salt
2 1/2 c. bread flour
2 tbsp. olive oil

sauce:
8 oz tomato sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil

toppings:
1/2 lb hamburger, browned and drained
1/2 lb sausage, browned and drained
6 oz pepperoni
12 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
4 oz parmesan cheese, shredded

Recipe Directions for Homemade Pizza

  1. Combine yeast and 1 T. sugar. Let rest for 5 minutes.

  2. Add salt and enough flour to make dough soft and pliable, but not sticky.

  3. Knead. Let rise 1 hour 15 minutes.

  4. With fingers, press onto greased baking stone.

  5. Combine sauce ingredients and set aside.

  6. Brown hamburger and sausage; drain.

  7. Cover dough with mozzarella cheese, then sauce and toppings.

  8. Bake 15 minutes at 475 F.
