yields 24 slices from 3 medium 12" crust (ave to thick crust)

Recipe Ingredients for Homemade Pizza Dough

5 1/2 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
4 1/2 tsp Active Dry Yeast
6 tsp Sugars, Granulated (2 Tbsp)
3 tsp Iodized Salt (1 Tbsp)
2 1/4 cup hot water
5 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1/4 cup plus 3 tsp)
0.06 cup Cornmeal, Degermed, Enriched, Yellow (3 tsp)

Recipe Directions for Homemade Pizza Dough

  1. Combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt.

  2. Combine hot water and 1/4 cup olive oil and add to flour mixture.

  3. Add remaining flour 1 cup at time and knead until soft dough.

  4. Let rise until doubled, about 20 min.

  5. Brush each pan with 1 tsp olive oil and sprinkle with 1 tsp cornmeal.

  6. Stretch or toss dough to pan shape.

  7. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Add toppings, remove from sheet and bake directly on oven rack another 10 minutes.
